Holly received a B.A. in Art Education from Indiana State University where she majored in art education. She taught Art in the Public School System in Kokomo, Indiana. She also has given art lessons at the Munce Art Center in Zionsville, Indiana and the Monart Drawing School in Noblesville, Indiana. She has also continued her education in various workshops with well-known artists.
Holly has been a professional artist for over thirty years. She has won numerous awards and her art hangs in private collections throughout the United States. One of her paintings is hanging in the Noblesville City Hall.
Her passion for art is visible in her style and use of color and texture. Her subject depends on what inspires her. She sees beauty in nature from landscapes to animal and particularly people.
She has completed many portrait commissions in Oil, Pastel and Watercolor.
'The joy I see in the faces of people when they first see the finished portrait is so satisfying that I feel I am giving them something very precious and that makes me very happy' she says.
Art, to her is her passion in life, and being able to make others happy with her paintings makes her life worth living.
