My Philosophy,when it comes to the subject of art;is to capture the spirit and the soul of the artist from within-to then interpret ones own soul onto the canvas through the selection of color,form;shape,and texture;using the combined elements to invoke some kind of feeling into the body of ones work,to reach beyond the canvas;with a hope to inspire humanity throughout the world;through the narrative of the works created from ones imagination...
My inspirations are many, and range not necessarily in this order;but run the gamut from Archibald Motley,Ernie Barnes;Ernest Watson,
Ellis Wilson;R.J. Hohimer,Frank Morrison;Maurice Evans,Kadir Nelson;Nicole Folkes,Paul Goodnight;Charly Palmer,Annie Lee;
Didier Lourenco,Sabzi;Joseph Holston,Michael Birawer;and etc...
My medium of choice varies,as I am often times inspired to use what my spirit leads me to use;where my art is concerned,but I will say that I use oil and acrylic paint more than any other medium;as these are the two that feel the most comfortable-yet natural to me;throughout my creative process,and so will probably be what the majority of my work will be executed in;in the present,and in the coming future.
