About J R Baldini

JR Baldini, plein air painter, Executive Director and Founder of International Plein Air Painters Worldwide organization, Professional Photographers of America, Master, Craftsman Photographer, author of the forthcoming book 'Permission Granted - learning to breathe on Planet Earth.'

'Plein Air Painting is a metaphysical skill capable of creating an image that lets the viewer 'Be there in the moment' when viewing the painting.'

I' ve discarded the comfort of the studio and painting from photographs, in order to be involved with all five senses, getting the essence of a scene down on the canvas, creating from nature, the best of all teachers, with the truest of all colors...

Painting from Life.

I have spent the last 30+ years with one simple focus - attempting to capture the fleeting light as it defines a shape, creates a mood or connects to the familiar, and pass that 'never to be again' moment onto to you, the viewer.

See J. R. Baldini's paintings in the WORLD TOUR OF CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS

Some efforts are monumental in subject matter because of the very nature of the subject but, most are everyday 'moments'.

Painting Greece October 2013

Niagara Falls, NY - September 22nd, 2013

Artist J. R. Baldini is selected to head an art workshop watercolor journaling tour to the Greek Islands. The Tour is organized by Wanderwomen/Eurynome Journeys out of Camden Maine Oct 6-15. This tour is women only, because there's a different kind of energy when women create together. The Tour director and J.R. actually met about 7 years ago on a tiny island in Maine. They exchanged business cards and casually mentioned, 'we should do something together sometime' Last year the tour director found the card and remembered the conversation. The rest of the story will be played out, as the group tours some of the less touristy islands, journaling, cooking and even taking a dance lesson on their memorable "Greek Muse" holiday workshop. More information can be found at http://www.permissiongranted.org or email info@eurynomejourneys.com

Niagara Falls Wallenda Walk June 2012

Niagara Falls, NY - June 18th, 2012

The historic tightrope walk of Nik Wallenda took place in Niagara Falls June 15, 2012. An estimated crowd of 120,000 spectators lined the boulevard in Niagara Falls, Ontario and sister city Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Wallenda completed his walk of 1500 ft, 150 ft above the thundering roar of Niagara Falls in just under 25 minutes. It's said that the roar of the Falls can drown oput 17 jet planes going overhead at the same time. The walk began on Goat Island on the American side of the border and ended on the Canadian side. Due to contract stipulations by ABC tv, Mr. Wallenda was required to wear a tether during his walk, something he had never done before. The walk cost 1.2 - 1.3 million dollars and most came out of pocket. Nik Wallenda is a 7th generation tightrope walker and the Wallenda family is famous for not using a net. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
