Jack Dzamba (Dziamba) is the founder and principal photographer for Icron Image International, Inc., a company devoted to fine art photography. has won a number of awards for his photography. In June 2012, he was presented with the 7th Annual Black and White Spider Awards Nomination in the category of Fashion for his B&W image of, 'Melissa,' at the prestigious Nomination & Winners PhotoShow. The awards international Jury included the National Geographic, and the Tate in London, who honored Spider Fellows with 180 coveted title awards and 875 nominees in 14 categories from 8,223 entries.
His image, 'Melissa,' in color, won a First Place, for Fashion Photography in the International Pollux Awards for October 2011 and Honorable Mention for the year in the 2011 Pollux Awards. This image was shown at the International Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography Exhibition, in Buenos Aires,from January 19 - February 27, 2012, www.thegalaawards.net.
His work was also chosen as an Official Selection, 2010 Paris Photo Competition. His work has won Honorable Mentions in the 2008 International Photography Association (IPA) Photographer of the Year Awards, the 2008, 'Prix de la Photographie Paris 'Human Condition' Competition, and the 2007 'Prix de la Photographie Paris' Competition, www.px3.fr.
Jack's, image 'Remembrance,' taken at the Louvre in Paris, was chosen in a National Juried Competition in 2003, and his image, 'Not Alone' from his book 'Paris in Boston.' Both competitions were judged by the Director of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOA) Artists Gallery.
In December 2008, his book, Paris in Boston, was published. His work has been published in two other books of fine art photography: Incredible Eyes, TCB- Café Publishing, San Francisco (2005), and Like Sand From Orchid’s Lips, TCB- Café Publishing, San Francisco, (2006).
His work has been exhibited in solo shows in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco.
In May 2010, his work was shown in Le Pecq, France, near Paris and six of his images were selected for permanent installation by the city of Le Pecq. In April, his work was shown in New York City at Paula Barr chelsea, and in Boston at M2L. In 2009, works from Paris in Boston were shown at the French Library in Boston. In December 2010, he is premiering new works, 'Women in Tuxedos,' at PaulaBarr chelsea in New York City.
He is currently at work on his next book, Paris in New York. He has also done two new series on Boston this year, 'The City Beyond' in Fan Pier, and 'Science & Art' in Kendall Square.
Jack Dzamba is represented by Canvas Fine Arts in Boston, and by S&I chelsea, in New York City.
His work has been described as having a mystical quality, which draws you in as if the camera was never there.
He lives in the Boston metropolitan area.
