I have been drawing pictures using pen & ink and illustrating stories since I was a kid in Indiana, during the great depression of the 1930s. I completed my education in California and after a stint in the U.S. Air Force in the late 50's. Since the early 1960's Iíve been connected to the printing industry and have done everything from being a printing press operator to selling offset printing presses & supplies. Iíve seen the graphic arts industry go from hand-set movable type to computerized, digital direct-to-plate imaging systems. My specialties are in the realm of automotive and marine art and up until recently, producing my own line of signed & numbered limited edition prints.
Iíve been called upon to do a lot of architectural rendering here in New Mexico but not so much since the housing bubble burst in 2009. I use computers to communicate with customers but my art is created by hand.
My mediums are pen & ink and watercolor. I use photographs as my models, which are mostly e-mailed to me but, once in a while Iíll get out my Canon 300D Digital SLR and go out shooting. I also work from photos sent to me in the mail (which Iíll always return)
I invite you to keep up with my latest art by having you follow me on Fine Art America and joining in on my e-mail newsletter family.
