When asked by one of his customers, “have you
been doing THIS all of your life? “well, not yet!.....
he chuckled, But, at 78, how much longer Jack continues to
do “This” depends on the demands his customers
and friends place on him. Creating original art in watercolor, pen and ink,
photography and mixed media of fine automobiles,
homes and yachts keeps Jack active in his search for the quintessential classic art form. By associating with the owners of the classic
Lincoln, Bentley, Packard, Cadillac’s and Chris-Crafts,
Jack is able to live the good life vicariously. Jack, his wife, Sue and “Harry”, their dock friendly tabby-cat lived aboard their 46' Chris Craft 'TERIFIC',
which was moored at Arabella’s Landing Marina in Gig
Harbor, south and west of Seattle, WA. Jack & Sue were very active in the Gig Harbor
Chamber of commerce and cruised Puget Sound with
fellow members of the Gig Harbor and Port Orchard
Yacht Clubs. Jack stays in touch with his maritime
friends through his life-time membership as a past commodore of the Port Orchard Yacht Club ( class
of 1983) and by delivering portraits of yachts
commissioned by yacht brokers throughout the
Puget Sound metroplex. Jack, Sue & Harry moved to Las Cruces, New
Mexico in 1998, where Jack now works out of his
spacious, high desert home studio. Jack enjoys serving his friends and customers from
across the nation and around the world. Most of his
new art commissions come in as a result of referrals
from repeat customers and friends.
