I am photographer that got his photography start in college using 35mm film. Then as now, I pay great attention and focus, no pun intended, to the post production of an image. Having always bracketed my shots for optimum results in making a final print in the darkroom, I took to HDR like a duck goes to water.
In addition, I push the boundaries in capturing an image. For an image to become memorable and worthy of putting in a frame and on a wall of a home or an office, the captured image has to do more than represent our 3-D world of people, places and things on a 2-D plane. In other words, the image has to express an emotion or make a statement that connects the photographer/artist with the viewer.
The majority of my work, not all of which is HDR, is highly enhanced, and thus, conceptual; reaching for what is interpreted with the mind that lies beyond what is seen with the naked eye.
In closing, stop and smell the roses and of course, please take the time to look at my work. If you find something that 'grabs' you, please make an investment in thought-enriched living by making a purchase for your home or office. Thanks, and sincerely yours, James Tannehill
