Art is my life...if it's art I'm interested. I especially enjoy working in watercolor and oil, but any art process makes me happy. I teach art and do art, and buy art.
I'm a professional artist working mostly on commissioned portraits in oil. When I am not painting a commission I paint exquisite portraits of dolls and flowers. I want you to feel what I feel as I paint, a reverence for the beauties of the earth and an awareness of humanities personal search for perfection.
I also love to paint religious edifices, such as Temples, churches and the like. My work is highly idealistic, much like the old masters with an emphasis on eternal themes. I am an idealist to the core, an artist who cherishes high and noble principles. With my art I want to enlarge, soften and enlighten your heart. Ah-Hah! Awe.....'One person can make a difference...' Jane Is a perpetual student of the arts, focusing on Fine Oils, choosing as her genre, LDS (Mormon) Temples, often with portraits of the bride and groom. She hopes to create lasting reminders of the vows couples take on their wedding day, which are especially significant when an LDS couple enters the Temple and makes sacred covenants.
Jane grew up without a clue that she was born to be an artist.
It wasn’t until her junior year in high school that she took her first art class, and although greatly intimidated by other students in the class, she did her best and found the process thoroughly enjoyable..Today Jane finds and
makes time to paint, loving every minute of it. As Jane has taught high
school and college level Art for more than 20 years, she took an early retirement in 2014, and hopes to learn how to market her artwork to the whole wide world, especially the LDS community.
