I am an Atlanta native, intrigued by textural art on canvas, and fascinated by all abstract artwork.
As a self taught artist, I do things my own way, rarely will you catch me using an easel or a brush! My complex process layers acrylics, inks and various substances with epoxy resin to produce 'Alternative Abstraction', my own original style of mixed media on canvas. It's unsual, unpredictable and a bit dangerous! It is always challenging and never boring. I love discovering new techniques, experimenting with various utensils and unusual materials, that allow me to produce interesting textures and bold color combinations.
My paintings are visual expressions inspired music (the only thing I love more). I always paint to music, it's like I paint what I hear...the more inspiring the music, the more passionate the painting....So, if I can't be a ROCK-STAR.....I guess I'LL PAINT!
Created with passion, positive energy, a love of nature and respect for Feng Shui, my work consists of many large, bold, stimulating pieces, as well as, multi-piece sets and a collection of soothing, serene minimalist canvas art that will add color and character to any wall. And, where ever displayed, are certain to be conversation starters!
Thank you for visiting & I hope you enjoy my artwork!
In January 2012, I reconnected with my inner artist.
And, at 48, finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up! My artistic journey has been AMAZING! There's so much I want to try, products I'd never even heard of, techniques that sounded interesting (some even bizarre) that I have not slowed down one bit!! And for the first time in my life, I LOVE what I'm doing! It is very challenging and extremely rewarding. Both enlightening and empowering, as well as, satisfying and soothing! I am truly grateful to be able to continue painting through the sale of my artwork. And will always appreciate the opportunity to.....
Do what I love and love what I do!!
