Jay Dee Simpson, was born in 1950 in Warrington in Cheshire, and studied design and graphics at Manchester University. Jay Dee worked for many years as a magazine/book designer and art editor. Whilst living in Spain during the eighties she developed a love of sculpture and on returning to the UK built and ran a fine art porcelain manufacturers, Jian Arts Limited.
Following the early death of her husband in 92 Jay Dee concentrated more on bringing up her then young son, but has now returned to her first love, that of painting.
