I am a self taught artist born in New York and raised in South Florida. My deeply held connection to the natural world began when I illustrated sections of The Dade County Environmental Story, including the cover, published by Friends of the Everglades in 1984 and continues to this day.
In the beginning, I focused my attention on pencil, charcoals, pen-ink, pastels, watercolors and (my personal favorite) acrylics. I broadened my skills by learning and creating unique faux finishes and Trompe loe'l( fool the eye) mural work. I have been commissioned in private homes throughout Central and South Florida, especially the Florida Keys for my mural work. I have also been sought out and involved in helping several Keys environmental and charity causes with my art.
My primary focus now is pouring my creative energy onto canvas with acrylics creating a wide variety of land and seascapes, botanicals and so much more. I also continue to welcome and enjoy working on custom murals, portraits and commissioned canvas pieces.
