Jay Campbell is a professional wildlife and outdoor photographer and writer, a practicing attorney, and has directed organ procurement and transplant organizations throughout the U.S. since 1989. A cancer survivior, he graduated Duke University (Magna Cum Laude) and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill Law School (With Honors). He has been a professional firefighter, police officer, paramedic, and musician.
Jay has written for many national magazines, including Gray's Sporting Journal, Sports Afield, Bowhunter and Traditional Bowhunter Magazine, and his book Longbow: A Hunting Life is well-reviewed and available signed at www.campbellsquest.com as well as Amazon and other national outlets. Jay and his wife Karen Campbell partner in their adventures and photography, which more and more includes fly-fishing and ocean travels.
Karen and Jay have seven children and one dog, Widget, between them, and live on Tampa Bay. A flats boat is tied behind their house and their fifty-foot, three deck, thirty year old trawler Largo is docked nearby, both ready to make way on the tides of opportunity or disaster.
