I am retired, and have been actively engaged in photography for about three years. My photographic interests are many. I enjoy traveling the back roads around the country for off beat and unusual photographic subjects. Sometimes, drives deep in the back country can offer unusual opportunities for capturing the diversity of American life and landscape. Driving to small towns and just walking the streets is a passion of mine, as I find so many subjects to photograph. I am still trying to develop a style, something which reflects my personality and view of a particular subject. There are so many talented photographers, I find I prefer to take the road less traveled. I use a variety of filters in my processing to express the feeling or mood I have about an image. My processing can take as little as 30 minutes, or sometimes days of back and forth work to settle on a particular look or feel to the image.
I have a wonderful family, a loving wife and three grown boys. We are at a stage in our lives where we believe this is the time to go and do. We have an Airstream RV that we take all over the country for extended camping trips. It is a fabulous way to see the country, and it gives us time to relax and enjoy so many beautiful areas.
