Born in Waterloo, Iowa and grew up in surrounding communities. Studied Art at the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls. I have lived and worked in the upper Midwest of the United States for the past 40 years, including Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois.
I work with shapes, colors and textures in an attempt to reach something greater than the sum of those parts. Most of my work is abstract, perhaps even abstract expressionist in style, though I also delve into the world of the minimal or the pure optical. Some of my work is very dark and really needs to be viewed in full size to be appreciated. Though if one does not appreciate the abstract method or mentality it may not hit the target. Some of my work is meant to be playful, colorful, and child like, though it is all meant to evoke a response.
My work consists of digital abstract creations, digital photography, and some acrylic on canvas.
