Hello, I'm an Australian artist, in love with painting.
My gallery here here includes paintings in different styles. After years of painting landscapes and portraits as I'd 'learned', I just had to experiment more, to try and find a way that was mine. My paintings show the jouney, which I enjoy more every day.
I find now that the process is more exploratory. I want most of all to paint people, and after a couple of years in an expressive/abstract style they are becoming more realist again, but with an edge. I want to paint more than reality allows, to create questions, and hint at a narrative for the viewer.
There is so much to paint, so many ideas, so much joy and frustration and excitement in the doing that I find putting labels on the results beyond me. They are simply my 'Studiofruit'.
I hope you enjoy my work. There has been joy in its creation.
