By weekday, I'm a secretary. By weekend, a budding artist. I love my green cheek conure Phoebe, my Russian blue shelter cat Raja, my family, my friends, chocolate, reading, baking cookies, crocheting and knitting. I volunteer with German Shepherd Rescue New England (www.gsrne.org).
I grew up idolizing Bob Ross on PBS, and learning how to draw from another Bob, 'Captain' Bob, a local TV personality with his own drawing show. While looking for Bob Ross videos on You Tube, I found some tutorials by Will Kemp Art School. I watched and rewatched the tutorials and began painting stuff.
I've only been painting since January 21st of this year (2013). My goal of improving my painting skill has expanded beyond my original desire to simply paint Christmas ornaments. Now, I want to PAINT. I have a lonnnnnng way to go before I'm as good -- or better -- than so many of the fantastically talented artists on this site.
I tend to talk a lot about painting, and most of my family and friends would be bored stiff listening to yammer on and on about it, but if you want to hear my endless prattle about what I'm working on, what observations I'm making, and what questions I come up with (if you have answers, post 'em, please!), check out my FAA blog entries.
