Relief printmaking is especially fun and challenging for the thought process involved, your ideas take form as you cut lines of light into a dark surface. It may seem that every move has to be so well planned, but within the cut is a million opportunities for spontaneity. Printmaking calls upon a wide range of skills and is always a process of learning as I go. My prints are in very small editions of 20 or less, and within those editions are variations. Once I have pulled my 20, I am anxious to move onto the next idea.
I divide my creative time between printmaking and illustration.
