I began painting in watercolor, then fell in love with the flow of painting with dyes on silk, so exploring the massive world of fabric art has been a natural transition for me.
I use paint with thread, acrylic paint, watercolor, oil paint sticks, permanent markers, Tsukineko inks, water soluble pastels, and even Wite-out to achieve my desired effects. Creating art quilts allows me the freedom to draw on all of my skills.
My art quilts are usually fixed with a sleeve on the upper back for insertion of a dowel to hang on the wall. Curtain clips and other hanging methods, including framing or stretcher bars, can also be used. Some of the art quilts featured are for sale. Others are in personal collections. Each art quilt is a unique design . Commissions are welcome.
