No child does her chores monotonously. Instead, she adds whatever ingredients are necessary to make the job interesting. Early one afternoon, on a farm outside of Belgrade, MT, a young Jess Jordan did just that. Her father, asked the then 14-year-old Jess to paint the Sun on the side of their barn, only to discover later that day,
'Cat in the Hat', a wild combination of the Sun and the bugs Jess saw in her mother's garden.
Jess's bold works have received much attention, including First Place and People's Choice Awards from the Montana Institute of the Arts. It is no wonder why Jess's work captivates people's imagination. The frequent theme of motion and energy invites the viewer into the kaleidoscope of her imagination. Her experimentation, in a variety of mediums, has lead to an intense expression incorporating a mosaic of fascinating and brave colors. Jess promises us a cryptic and creative journey with countless destinations.
