Jesse Glaves is a fine artist who has focused his conventional artistic teachings and sensibilities into the often under-appreciated world of digital arts. His bizarre fractal patterns seem to focus on two dimensional shapes that interweave in complex ways to form multi-dimensional landscapes. Though unconventional, his art makes use of pleasing colors, and textures and has a distinctly modern feel.
Glaves says, 'There are patterns and emotions that are released by creating art on a computer that I could never begin to realize with a paint-brush or pencil; nature does a better job. Some artists are inspired by trying to recreate what they see in nature. I actually get to sit in the driver's seat with nature to reveal patterns and textures that no other human has ever seen.' He currently resides in Soldotna, Alaska with his wife and two children and draws inspiration from the mountains, lakes, glaciers, oceans, forests and wildlife around him.
