After some years living 'down below' (as Lillian Jackson Braun refers to the big cities of the Midwest and North Central US), a few years ago I was able to move to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and I love it. Surrounded by woods and water and quiet, I find each day a pleasure. And, yes, I love winter.
Photography has been an interest of mine since childhood--a hobby passed down from my grandfather who developed and printed his own pictures starting in the 1920s. I still have his cameras and negatives.
I moved to digital photography in 1997. I love to take pictures of my surroundings and the wildlife that wanders through our yard. I especially enjoy macro photography of plants, flowers, and insects. My 35mm SLR close-up lenses cannot match the macro functions on my digital cameras.
I hope you enjoy my photos and photo art as much as I enjoy creating and sharing them.
