Artist Statement and Biography
I have always loved our national parks and the wondrous places our world has to visit. In my 40 years of amateur photographic activities, I have visited many of these places. My desire was to able to capture the beauty and grandeur of these places in my photography.
I am 58 year old former law enforcement officer with over 35 years of experience in that field. I have recently retired from law enforcement to pursue my second love, Photography.

2009-Thurston County Fair Champion Ribbon/Judge's Choice- Man made Scenic , Champion Ribbon- Natural Scenic class

2010-Recognized by County Commission in public meeting for outstanding photography at county fair.
2011- One of two photographers chosen to produce original local photographs for display in Thurston County Commissioners meeting room
2011 First Place -Wildlife- Professional, Tacoma Nature Center Photography contest
2012 Art House Design Award at Olympia Art League Lakefair Art Show
2012 1st Place 2D Art at Peninsula Art League 10th Annual Open Juried Art Show (Juried by the Curator of the Tacoma Art Museum)
