A native Texan, my venture into art came when I was forced to leave my graphics design career, I first began painting abstracts and landscapes until I was exposed to photographs taken by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) of deep outer space. The photographs had about them beauty, mystery and revelation of objects previously unseen, much less photographed. Deep outer space, once a mystery, was now being discovered with supporting documentation by HST, Chandra, other countries' space telescopes. The photos were stunningly beautiful, intriguing, addressing the artistic point of view. The scientific value of the photographs will be evaluated by the astronomers and scientists Several years ago, HST subjects became the main thrust of my work and it seems, the supply of subject matter will be a streaming to Earth for a very long time. My work shows the influence of my training as a Graphic designer plus, the mastery of color that was developed in the graphics field. Although, I am a lot more than SpaceScapes, painting many different subjects and in a variety styles. Photography, a longtime love of mine, has been a significant aid to my painting and along the way has resulted in some pretty nice shots.
