Inspired to draw when I was just a child, it was mostly through the influence of my mother Alma who was a business woman and an artist that sold her own paintings. While in Calif, I studied water paints and charcoal in several classes.
As years went by, I got married and had three sons Dave, Matt and Mark. I also joined the work field in various banks and medical offices. Even though my paintings were on hold, I still had the passion for painting. Again influenced by my Aunt Mary, I returned to my painting but this time
concentrating on oils.
I had my own studio where I painted signs for clubs, holiday events and designed costumes. I also got involved in various workshops and paint classes. To advance my knowledge,I studied at Rogue College and Pacific College of Art and Design. I took up photography, which is useful in capturing moment and landscape that I express in my paintings.
I also have been fortunate enough to have a photo listed in competition and to be published on the Internet in (Gallery of Life) located in Ashland , Ore. I have displayed my works in fairs, public business offices and musems. I also won many awards and write ups that were published in newspapers.
I enjoy my contacts and interludes with nature wherever I have lived, I see the beauty that God has painted for us.
