I'm a self-taught photographer who's been taking pictures at one level or another for a long, long time. I've traveled extensively in Europe and made forays to Canada, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, Africa and South America. These travels have provided me with a wealth of subject matter for my photos, some of which appear on these pages.
Lately, I'm tending toward manipulating many of my straight photos to make them appear more like watercolors or some other form of painting. I think it's because somewhere in my unconscious, I wish I'd become a painter.
I think the best part of photography, like all art, is it's ability to show others the world as you see it, or as you'd like it to be. I view FAA as an ideal site for this as a result of its world-wide reach.
