ASHEVILLE, NC – Lola Salon and Gallery is very pleased to announce that Asheville creative artist John Haldane will be the gallery’s featured artist from November 8, 2014 until January 3, 2015. There will be a Grand Opening of John’s artwork on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Lola Salon and Gallery, 60 Biltmore Ave, Asheville. From the people and places of downtown to scenic vistas and wildlife, John captures what is best about Western North Carolina. His art is unique: it is created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or acrylic paints. Sometimes he will start with a photograph, sometimes with an idea, and sometimes dabbling on the computer. His art evolves in response to music, weather, or other stimuli. Each piece has a story behind it. John is a...

Western North Carolina is full of talented people, from sculptors and painters to pianists and folk musicians. At Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), we like to show off some of that creativity by displaying artwork in our own mini-gallery and throughout the terminal, and by featuring musical performances on a weekly basis. Art in the Airport showcases the work of local artists on a rotating basis. Since the gallery opened in June, 2007, we've displayed the artwork of more than 120 artists. We invite you to visit the airport and enjoy the exhibit! If you find something for sale in the gallery you just can’t live without, it’s easy to make a purchase, and you can pick up your treasure or have it shipped to you as soon as the exhibit ends. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. The Fall show begins October 1 and runs through January 3, 2014. Among the displays will be six la...
