John Haldane has been taking photographs for 35 years across America, in parts of Europe, China, and Japan. He had graduated from film to digital equipment and does all his developing on the computer.

Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop has enable John to create beautiful works of art from painting to drawing, design to wallpaper, and totally unique digital images. Using a WACOM touch screen and pen, John literally paints his creations onto the computer screen.

His photographs and art have been displayed in art galleries from Mesa, Arizona to Black Mountain, North Carolina.

John's photos and art have shown at art fairs and on internet sites. Several photographs have achieved recognition or were given awards. Images have been published in magazines such as the 'Laurel of Asheville', the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation magazine, 'The Scenic' (cover photo), the WNC Nature Center magazine, and The Writers & Artists Quarterly at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. His work was featured in COSTCO Magazine a few years ago as well.

John is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association (CNPA), F/32, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), and is a past member of the East Valley (AZ) Art Guild, the Mesa (AZ) Art League, and Digital Photo Pros. He also interacts with numerous other photography organizations and web sites.

John lives in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife, Laura. They have two grown sons.
