John Ricker - Fine Artist
I started taking pictures when I was twelve. Now that I am in my late twenties I am taking more pictures than ever. I take images of things that often go unnoticed: fire hydrants, condemned buildings, the ice on the roof of a car, moss, etc. The advent of digital media has led me to experiment with combining images with each other to emphasize the wonder I see in the everyday world. My photography is often about duality which probably stems from my fascination with both nature and urban environments. I am deeply interested in the way that man interacts with the world around him.
