'My purpose for being alive is to paint and sculpt. My life did not begin until I lay at death's door. A life and death experience at the age of thirty-three left me confined to a bed in the isolation ward of a hospital. While the drugs to keep me alive poured into my veins, the colors began to pour forth from my soul onto the paper using a children's box of watercolors.
