Screenwriter. Graduate of Harvard College. At the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where I grew up, I studied photography, entered a class contest, and placed 1, 2 and 6 out of 90 entries. It was all about the composition. For years, I worked with a 4x5 Linhof doing B&W studies of 'dew on cabbage,' spending an entire day shooting an abandoned house in the incredible richness of the southern countryside. Later, in Boston, I began working with a Hassleblad. From the UNC Photo Lab to my closet, I did all my own darkroom work. Years later I discovered digital photography and now own a Canon PhotoShot 9. I use little special effects and like to focus on simplicity: the fleeting beauty of a place or special moment. My goal, through composition and an eye to detail, is to make these images a window on all time.
I hope my cards speak to you. I often crop in so I've limited the size available on most of them. It varies from print to print, but if you keep your copies smaller, it would be best. Cards and small prints are perfect.
I'll be creating unique lines for special occasions and hope those who still value writing will want to pair words with images when writing to friends and family.
