I live and work in the Chicagoland area. I also teach drawing at Columbia College Chicago, South Suburban Community College and The Hyde Park Art Center. Graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA and a MFA. Recently, exhibiting locally at South Suburban Community College and will exhibit at the Hyde Park Art Center in March of 2009.
My recent body of work are paintings of landscapes created from memory and imagination. I find myself in a constant battle of trying to achieve mental and physical space. These paintings are a testament of dealing with my issues of my own personal space. They are intentially made without any trace of human existence with a palette that gives off sort of a lunar feeling. As if, not of this world. What's exciting about this series of paintings is that they are still at the point of evolving, so they are in this metamorphasis stage and I don't know what I'm going to end up with.
