After years of ups and downs and frustrations, I was diagnosed with clinical depression in 2011. Getting well has been a full time job. I benefited from therapy, medication and a reduction of stress among other strategies. The most rewarding therapy however, has come from creating art with pastels and acrylics. I encourage others who are battling depression to include art as a part of their therapy.
I'm running around the web and the country talking with women about depression and art and loving it. My home base is North Dallas, TX with my husband and a growing collection of pastel sticks, acrylics and papers of various textures and sizes.
