Award-winning Artist Kate Bedell works in Watercolour and Mixed Media Collage. Her work features landscapes, gardens, flowers, nudes and landscapes. She graduated from Dun Laoghaire School of Art and Design in 1984 with a distinction in Fine Art. In 1998 she was made a member of the Irish Water Colour Society where she exhibits her paintings annually. She has also exhibited in the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual shows (1985 and 1992) and her work is part of many private collections worldwide. She took part in the Channel 4 television series 'Watercolour Challenge in Ireland' in 1999 and painted Powerscourt Waterfall in Wicklow, and Joyces Tower in Sandycove. Both paintings were exhibited and sold in the Mall Galleries, London, U.K. Shortly after this, Kate and her family moved to India where they spent seven years. Her work took her into figurative painting of Indian Women in brightly-coloured sarees. She is now living and working in the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland. Her work is available for sale at the Framework Gallery, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and from her studio in Sandyford, Dublin. She is a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society, and the Ulster Society of Women Artists.
