Biography: Kate has an Art Degree from Xavier University and loves painting, drawing, and teaching art. She works mainly in watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, acrylic, and plasticine clay. She enjoys sculpture and the creative process as the Artistic Director for CAPP. She is involved in many art groups and has earned Signature Artist status from the CPSA, the KWS, the SW, the SCWS, and the TnWS.
Her paintings and drawings can be found in collections across the country. Her paintings and drawings have been juried into various local, regional, national, and international exhibitions where they have won awards. One of her pieces was a finalist in the Prismacolor Art Competition for the 2009 calendar. Two pieces have been finalists in The Artist Magazine’s Annual International Competition. Her work has been juried into The American Watercolor Society’s International Exhibition and has been a finalist in the Paint America Top 100 National Exhibition. Her art has recently been included in two books: “The Colored Pencil Society of America Signature Showcase” and “Best Of Worldwide Artists working in Charcoal, Pastel & Pencil.”
