My Love of the outdoors and later my love of photographing it..started when growing up on a small farm in central Illinois. We had 60 acres of timber with a creek going through it. It was the first place I ever went fishing and I spent a lot of time out there. But it wasn't until my wife bought me a canon sure shot that I fell in love with taking pictures, That's right everyone I can blame my wife for getting me started. lol Was I any good probably not but I loved it and tried to do better all the time. I chugged along with that camera knowing nothing about SLR until my best friend Eric bought me one, a Pentax super program and that gift really opened up the world of photography to me. Suddenly I could explore different aspects from Macro, portrait, wildlife, landscape etc. It was wonderful. Did some wedding photos for a short time you know how it is, friends, but I never really enjoyed that. So I put that aside easily and just pursued any thing and everything that I saw outside. Seems like people tell you that you should concentrate on just one aspect so I could excel in one area. Bunk, it's not about doing this for someone else it's about every aspect of the world around me that I love. So I shoot wildlife, birds, animals, creepy crawlies, landscapes macro shots where ever I see beauty I try to capture it as well as I am able, To convey that beauty that I see can be difficult cameras do not take what I see and perfectly match my vision, it's impossible. So software fills in and I use it to help match as closely as I can to convey that beauty. So that was a little long winded but I hope that as you look over these images that you to will find beauty that you can appreciate.
