I am a self-taught watercolourist, who started painting in 1983. I have had many solo exhibitions, my works are in collections throughout the world.
As I have never been bound by the constraints of what should or should not be done with watercolour I have developed my own unique style and techniques. This has been achieved by experimenting with different application methods and papers and by studying the techniques of world reknown watercolourists. I seem to have an affinity with France so have attended several workshops in the Provence region.
I always uses the full strength of the colour but always attempt to retain the transparency of the medium.
