My name is Kimberly Lavelle. What separates my work from that of other artists is that my intent with my work is to capture and honor the unique spirit of your pet in watercolor. I work from photos and especially enjoy capturing the essence of the life I see shining out through their eyes.
Two of my pieces are featured in Brad Wheler's book 'Cat Sayings wit and wisdom from the whiskered ones' just published in September 2012!
In 2012 my three entries to the Richeson 75 International School of Art and Gallery's on line fine art contest are published in their book 'Animals Birds and Wildlife'.
In addition to my animal portraits I have recently started painting portraits of children and also enjoy painting flowers and some fun fantasy type work.
My work is represented at Art On Mountain Fine Art Gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado.
