I've been a watercolorist and photographer for 17 years. Working from my own shots to create images mostly of the midwest scenery. My style is realistic in landscapes, wildlife and portraits. Impressionistic in florals. Working with the finest papers and paints to enhance an image in my mind. Since working in a coal mine and maximum security penitentiary for careers I've seen the dark underside of nature and humanity and it sparked a search for the beauty around me. My watercolors are a reflection of that search. I plan to go full time artist within a year and will continue to take workshops and teach them in order to grow as an artist. Never satisfied to just paint another successful painting the plan is to take more risks. I'm looking forward to those challenges.
