Kristine Plum will have an Artist Reception at the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation Gallery for her show "Variety III" on January 18th, 2014, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. She will be showing watercolor paintings of six different themes, Birch Trees, Magnolias, Winter Scenes, Abstracts, Equine, and Lake Shores, in a variety of sizes, 5 x 7 through 20 x 24 along with small magnets, ornaments, note cards and giclee prints. All are welcome. There is no fee to attend. Refreshments will be served.

The Des Plaines Art Guild of Illinois, is having an Art Fair on the Des Plaines Library Plaza, Down Town Des Plaines, IL, 60016 The Fair is taking place on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd from 11:00am to 5:00pm. There will be a Scholarship Raffle where artists will donate their work as prizes. Raffle Tickets are $2 each and $10 for $10. The Scholarship Raffle is towards area High School students who intend to major in Art in College. There are 3 $500 awards given out yearly. There are also awards given out for the Artists. I will donate my Giclee print "Friends at the Gate" in the auction. I will not be in the Art Fair this time. Kristine Plum Art Fair organizer

Kristine Plum has started a new group on Fine Art America. This group is for Midwest Equine Painters living in these states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. This group is for all painting media, and pastel. No photography, or digital art allowed. Pencil and charcoal drawing allowed only on FAA, but not in public exhibitions. The purpose of this group is to connect patrons and artists so that original paitntings may be viewed and purchased. Future art exhibitions may be planned at various locations throughout the midwestern states of America.
