I was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Boulder, Colorado. I graduated from the University of Colorado in 1989 with a degree in Sociology. I am proud to be a Colorado Buff! I am married and have 2 college aged daughters. In addition to my art work, I have a career in the high technology industry. I create photographic art to feed my soul and need for a creative outlet.
In 2010, after living in Boulder, Colorado for 35+ years we grew tired of the cold weather and what seemed to be endless hours of shoveling snow and made the decision to relocate to Laguna Niguel.
I have always loved the ocean and has a very strong connection to the “water.” When arriving in the Laguna area, I was immediately swept away by the incredible beauty and the spirit of this world renowned artist community and decided to take my love for the ocean and photography and create art.
The coastal view photos are all original photographs that were taken by me. I spend my weekends hiking the various coastal trails or walking one of the many beaches in search of “the shot.” Each photograph that is featured on the site was taken because the moment in time was too breathtaking to let it pass. I find coastal photography to be peaceful and calming and I love sharing my photographs with others.
I am currently working on capturing the beauty of the Laguna Beach tidal pools as well as transferring my images onto wood!
In addition to the art found on Fine Art America, my husband (Matt) and I create and sell 'Destination Markers' which are a unique and one of a kind customized wooden beach signs. To see these fun (and soon to be famous!) beach signs - see www.ocean-inspiration.com
