I studied with THE FAMOUS ARTISTS SCHOOL by correspondence while in the US ARMY in the early 60's, studied at Mesa College in Grand Jct., CO., attended Rocky Mtn. School of Art in Denver, taught there for a while, then returned to sign painting, which I had done previously and did advertising art, architectural rendering, and painted an occasional mural or wall graphic. I moved back to Grand Jct., where I painted signs, including pictorial billboards and started painting murals for a couple of local interior decorators and painted landscapes, portraits, caricatures and illustrated a couple of books, including a series of cartoons for the safety manual of a mining company and a childrens book about digestive enzymes. I guess you could say I've had an eclectic career. Last year I painted three major murals for Tonopah, NV., depicting the history of that very unusual Nevada town. I am starting to paint more automobiles , planes and trucks. I'm looking forward to teaching a painting workshop later this summer up on Grand Mesa at a lodge on top of the world's largest flat-top mountain.
