My name is Zhenlian, I am a retired art teacher, I spend all my spare time in painting and drawing. I like both oil paintings and Chinese paintings, I like the profusion of colour effects in oil painting and I like the ethereal and symbolical effects in Chinese paintings. I have no training at all in Chinese painting,I am self-taught but I like to experiment with ink and colour on Chinese papers, because the diffusion of colours on these very thin papers can produce very unexpected results.
When I was young I have stayed in Paris for more than 10 years, I have visited all the galleries in France, I have gained recognitions from several French Art Institutions, but I have never entered any French Art College.
I like to paint animals, landscapes and also abstracts. In fact all my paintings are not simple reproductions of the real world, they are integrations of the real and the symbolic.I like to make myself feel living in a dream like reality.
