I am a life-long Floridian running away from over-development of the east coast to a nice quiet place near the gulf. I love the flat landscape, the wildlife, the beautiful hundred year old oak trees, and the hot humid climate. The bugs I could do without, though. I paint the things I love that I find in Florida and from my travels in the US and abroad. I especially love to paint animals especially pets. While my primary medium is watercolor, I have ventured into monotype, collage, and oils. Watercolors keep me tight and precise, the other media make me loosen up.
