I grew up in Houston, Texas and moved to La Jolla, California in 1982, where I took my first photography course and was forever 'hooked'. After a few years of making my own prints, I began experimenting with various Polaroid processes and found through emulsion manipulation, transfers, adding paint and various processes, I could end up with a unique work of art. A local store began buying my framed images and soon, I had a rep and was selling to upscale shops throughout the country. In 2001 I rented out my La Jolla house, bought a small RV and began traveling coast to coast, selling at art shows and creating new images from my travels. After settling in New Jersey a few years ago to be near my daughter and two grandchildren, I began painting (pastel, oil pastel, acrylic and watercolor), making jewelry from old objects, doing various types of glass art, and paper sculpture. I live in a beautiful rural area with my adorable Goldendoodle and plenty to do on those 'snowed in' days.
