Hi! My name is Linda Womack and I am a fine artist from central Arkansas. I graduated from University of Central Arkansas in 1977 with a BSE degree in fine art and minored in Special Education.
Much of my life I have spent helping and working with handicapped people. I put my art on hold for about 20 years and gradually took it up again in the year 2000. Then I discovered that I had a unique style that I am still discovering! I now love to incorporate design with my portraits and my abstract pieces. My style has very flat patterns and I also I love detail! Generally I chose to put a circle in almost every piece I do. And I gravitate toward the use of line and texture in my art. I think drawing with colored pencil is my favorite activity!
I have won a few awards with my art by doing experimental work. I once did a collage that I sewed on beads, yarn, fabric, and braid. Wow! I did enjoy working with that piece and it is now owned by a local museum.
I haven't pushed my art very hard in the past but 2008 is a new year and I am going to try to promote it more! I hope you enjoy my art as much as i enjoy creating it!
