Lisa (Lariviere), Lorenz was born in Montreal, Canada. She studied graphic design and advertising at Concordia University. After living overseas for 14 years, she has recently moved back to her native Canada. She has lived in Basel, Switzerland, Seoul, Korea and Copenhagen, Denmark and has traveled extensively and many of her paintings are often based on her travels through Europe and Asia. Painting her impressions is her way of remembering and sharing such colorful memories.
Lisa is an artist who uses a radiant palette to create her colourful and stylized paintings. Her work is characterized by joyful compositions, exaggerated perspectives and her strikingly effective use of colours and pattern. You will also discover the interesting use of the 'cloisonnism” technique in her compositions where she outlines her shapes and design with a bold contour emphasizing her artwork. Her playful, lively, vivid compositions all evoke in us a sense of happiness and a smile. Her paintings are consistently fun to look at and even have a slightly youthful quality to them without being childish. Her paintings are guaranteed to brighten up your day.
