I am an artist and interior designer based in Nashville, TN. I received my BFA in Interior Design at Watkins College of Art & Design but have been painting my entire life. My art portrays environmental themes and seeing beauty and magic in everyday things. I am inspired by the natural world and preserving its richness. I am also very moved by the spirit of a city and the ways people interact within. I treasure our world and the unique people in it, desiring to bring out that which is awe-inspiring and genuine. Seeking to convey how I value this world with others, I strive to promote a sustainable way of interacting with the world. Now LEED-accredited (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) I strive to create 'eco-art' that is non-toxic and stands the test of time while using materials that are locally-sourced.
My work is post-minimalist, abstract, vivid and whimsical, filled with rich contrast and texture. The connection of my soul to nature, coupled with my lifelong love for musical expression lead me to performance art for many events in Nashville. My passion for sustainability is reflected in my work using non-toxic and locally-made mediums which is integral to the meaning of my work. Creating art allows my spirit to escape onto the canvas for a brief moment. It is my release and my pure joy.
It is my passion to keep art affordable for everyday people, so I keep my prices within a range that can allow all people to own a piece of original art. In addition to exhibiting art at local shows and performance art, I also love to mentor people through creativity workshops. I feel it is important to help others express themselves creatively.
