I began working with 35mm photography during the 1980’s. I switched to digital photography in 1999 and never looked back. I find it satisfying to document a “slice of ordinary life”; to capture the essence of what I see and show others; that an image taken in a fraction of a second should tell a story as I see it.

My educational background is scientific, business and computer oriented and my work life has been in technical positions. Photography adds a much needed balance to my creative side. Working with digital photography I have the best of both worlds by using my camera and my computer ability to manipulate images in Photoshop as may be done in the darkroom when using film.
