Lons art studio

Retired in December 2007, my interest in art was piqued in May 2008. While on a cruise with my wife and sister-in-law, I attended an on-board art auction. While the auction was entertaining, I realized the value of the auction pieces might not be represented fairly.
Upon returning home, I began researching the sale/purchase of artwork. My research led me to the organization Fine Art Registry (FAR). I began communicating with the members and artists of FAR. My communications and research led to my interest in abstract art. I decided to experiment with acrylics, a medium I love. With my wife’s support and encouragement, I began to paint. Since May 2008, I have created 100 paintings.
Much of my inspiration comes from elements I see and replicate. I see various lines, colors, and elements of nature, people, architecture, infrastructure, etc. I am also inspired by such artists as Peter Max, Ed Gilmore, and Jonas Gerard. Through artist networking and experimentation with painting, I continue to grow as an artist.
