The artist behind Loose Petals, Karen Young, is a classically trained fine artist with a Bachelors of Fine Art from Oregon State University and is a prolific artist that has worked in many mediums from ceramics to silkscreen. Karen has been commissioned by private, non-profit, and entertainment figures throughout her two decade career as an artist. A classically trained artist, she obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art from Oregon State University, Loose Petals started in San Francisco, when the cottage industry of wholesaling hand crafts first emerged. By the 90's Karen progressed with technology and began digital designing her artwork.
In 2011, Karen launched her collection of skylines. This special collection is made of American and international destinations inspired by love of travel. The artful destinations are unique imagery reminiscent of retro travel posters. Each skyline is created with a unique perspective and rich layers of colors.
