Lori Jacobus-Crawford was born in New Jersey in 1957. She continued to live and work there until 1989. After graduation from Columbia High School in 1976, she worked for the next 12 years for various Wall Street brokerage firms on their Municipal Trading desk. In 1989 she married and moved to Alabama where she raised 3 children, worked at local volunteer organizations and owned an antique/gift shop. Lori had always been involved in the arts, mainly dance, but at some indefinite moment arts became her real work, a path she had never dreamed would become a career.
Lori is an artist of style and character who primarily paints in oils and acrylics. Her education consists of experimentation, books, museums and private lessons. She has sold pieces at Behind the Garden Gate in Saraland, Alabama and presently at Dream Catcher Art Gallery in Saraland, Alabama. She belongs to the Eastern Shore Arts Center and Mobile Arts Council.
